Your Dotline account.

Dotline connects your existing ChatGPT dot to iMessage and SMS. The ChatGPT plugin uses the messaging access attached to your Dotline account.

What you need

• Your existing ChatGPT dot and its name.
• Your own mobile number, verified with one prepared text.
• A connected Dotline plugin with replies enabled.
• Messaging access on your Dotline account.

If ChatGPT says messaging is unavailable

Installing the plugin does not create a subscription or change your billing. If you already have access, make sure you connected the same ChatGPT account you used for Dotline. Ask your dot to check Dotline setup again after an account change.

About the service

Dotline currently uses a shared messaging number. Your texts are routed privately to the dot connected to your verified phone. Your contact card uses your own dot’s name and the Dotline photo.

Account plans

Website subscriptions are $9 per month or $79 per year, with a seven-day trial for eligible new accounts. Billing and account management take place on Dotline’s website through Stripe. There are no extra fees for using the ChatGPT plugin.
